Softball Recap: Galva Wildcats vs. Mercer County Golden Eagles

Galva fell victim to Mercer County and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Mercer County Golden Eagles. Galva has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Mercer County's part, Hallie Schreurs made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Schreurs was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Natalie Thomson was incredible, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alivia Gillespie, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
