Soccer Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson vs. Lincoln

For the first time this season, Thomas Jefferson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Wednesday, Thomas Jefferson and Standley Lake finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Rangeview.

With that draw, Thomas Jefferson's record moves to 2-6-2. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Thomas Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
