Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is First Flight's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If Martin County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played First Flight, they should've done a better job of containing Ella Morris. The Nighthawks blew past the Gators 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Morris, who had 14 digs and three assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

First Flight never let Martin County on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 27-25.

First Flight is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Martin County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. First Flight will challenge rival Northeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Martin County is set to square off against their familiar foe Pasquotank County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
