Basketball Recap: Anderson Prep Academy Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Anderson Prep Academy entered their tilt with Knightstown on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Knightstown Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. This was payback for the Jets, who suffered a 63-60 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Anderson Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camron Anderson out in front who went 6-for-8 to rack up 13 points along with eight assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Markus McClain, who went 10-for-14 en route to 21 points and three steals.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braylon Johnson, who posted ten points and three steals. What's more, Johnson also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Jonas Garthwaite was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 11 points.

Anderson Prep Academy pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Knightstown, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Coming up, Anderson Prep Academy will take on Southern Wells at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. As for Knightstown, they will challenge North Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
