Classical Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Maranatha Christian Eagles. Given the Caimans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Eagles are ranked 731st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Classical Academy pushed their record up to 8-1-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Maranatha Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-1 record this season.

Classical Academy will head out to face off against Santa Fe Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Christian has already played their next contest (against Escondido Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
