Basketball Recap: Brewbaker Tech Takes Down Eufaula in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brewbaker Tech walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over the Eufaula Tigers on Friday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 69-55 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2017.

Brewbaker Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedi Mcghee, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Mcghee is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last 34 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Heleyna Pennic, who went 5 for 12 to rack up 15 points and five rebounds.

Brewbaker Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 29 consecutive contests.

Brewbaker Tech is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-17 record this season. As for Eufaula, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coming up, Brewbaker Tech will face off against Vigor at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vigor will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Brewbaker Tech surely won't give up without a fight. Eufaula does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
