Basketball Recap: Carthage Comes Up Short

Carthage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Lowville Red Raiders, falling 86-50. The Comets lost against the Red Raiders in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 70-68 score last time.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Carthage will be taking part in a tournament against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on Friday. As for Lowville, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Valley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Valley Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lowville surely won't give up without a fight.
