Soccer Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was the 2-0 winner over Sycamore when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians lost 4-1 to the Aviators on Thursday. One reason for the loss might be Fairfield's aggressive play style: three Fairfield players were handed yellow cards.

Their goal came courtesy of Riley Cunningham, who's now up to eight this season.

Fairfield now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Sycamore, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairfield will challenge rival Oak Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sycamore is set to square off against their familiar foe Mason at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
