Sotomayor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Connor Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

Sotomayor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Anthony, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Harley Ullevig also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sotomayor's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for O'Connor, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sotomayor will challenge Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.23 runs per game on average), something Sotomayor will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for O'Connor, they are taking a road trip to face off against Harlan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlan will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something O'Connor surely won't give up without a fight.
