League recap: Cheyenne tops Faith Lutheran to extend winning streak

Cheyenne extended the longest winning streak in IA Southern - Sunset this week by beating Faith Lutheran, 40-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Desert Shields.

Mojave took down Clark 45-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Anthony Pryatel-Farmer was the best wideout in the league this week as the Crusaders fell to Cheyenne. Pryatel-Farmer tallied seven receptions for 75 yards. Sean Bischel helped Faith Lutheran's passing attack out by catching three balls for 69 yards.

Myloe Lewis was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 244 yards as David Cochran's team fell to David Cochran's team. Teammate Agbor Enokenwa added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.

Aj Segura put up the best numbers through the air as Pahrump Valley bested Western. He finished with four completions for 63 yards and one touchdown. Segura's favorite target this week was Hunter Mills, who caught two passes for 38 yards.

The Crusaders' Greg Benson and Pryatel-Farmer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading IA Southern - Sunset in both passing and receiving yards. Benson has thrown for 740 yards this season, while Pryatel-Farmer, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 51 catches for 781 yards. Lewis from the Desert Shields leads the league in rushing with 1324 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cheyenne takes on the Chargers. At the moment, the Desert Shields are in first, while Clark is in fifth.

Cheyenne made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,720 from 5,405. The improvement came about via a 40-14 victory over Faith Lutheran last week.
