Basketball Game Preview: Pickford Panthers vs. Harbor Light Christian Swordsmen

The Pickford Panthers will square off against the Harbor Light Christian Swordsmen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pickford comes in on three and Harbor Light Christian on five.

Pickford's tournament run continued when they took on Brimley on Tuesday. Pickford blew past Brimley 72-50. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 22 points or more this season.

Rogers City typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Harbor Light Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hurons, sneaking past 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Swordsmen have posted since December 1, 2023.

Harbor Light Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Pickford, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.

Everything came up roses for Pickford against Harbor Light Christian when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 67-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pickford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
