Basketball Recap: Isabella Crawford Key Part of Team Effort in Rattlers Win

While Mojave didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 59-37 margin over the Somerset Academy Losee Lions on Friday. Fans of the Rattlers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Mojave got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Crawford out in front who went 7-for-13 to rack up 20 points and eight rebounds. Those 20 points gave Crawford a new career-high. A'Yanna Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards.

Mojave smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Mojave's record now sits at 4-0. As for Somerset Academy Losee, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Mojave will head out to face off against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somerset Academy Losee, they will host Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
