Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Capital Christian Cougars
The El Camino Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 96-51 loss at the hands of Capital Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for El Camino in their matchups with Capital Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
El Camino's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Justin Watts, who scored 12 points along with three blocks, and Donovin Rolph who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Martin, who scored ten points.
El Camino has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Capital Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
El Camino will look to defend their home court on Friday against Del Campo at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Del Campo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. As for Capital Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Rio Americano at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rio Americano has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 450 points over their last seven contests.
