Baseball Recap: Pope County Takes a Loss

Pope County was the 6-5 winner over Carrier Mills-Stonefort when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell 4-1 to the Wildcats on Thursday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ian Bremer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pope County's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pope County is set to square off against their familiar foe Norris City-Omaha-Enfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carrier Mills-Stonefort will face off against rival Crab Orchard at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
