Softball Game Preview: Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars vs. Holdingford Huskers

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa is 1-9 against Holdingford since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jaguars will welcome the Huskers at 4:00 p.m. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Holdingford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Tuesday. The Jaguars blew past the Thunder 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Holdingford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Kimball, falling 11-0.

Holdingford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
