League recap: North Valley extends winning streak with victory over Phoenix

North Valley extended the longest winning streak in 4A Skyline this week by beating Phoenix, 29-13. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Klamath Union took down Hidden Valley 43-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Anthony Munoz ran for 153 yards in the win.

North Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tristan Burke has thrown for 1297 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while JJ Chirnside has 30 catches for 352 yards. Austin Neill leads the league in rushing with 626 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Valley takes on the Mustangs. As it stands, Todd Willaman's team is in first, while Hidden Valley is in third.

The Pirates made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,417 from 10,755. The advance stemmed from a 29-13 victory over Phoenix last week.
