Soccer Game Preview: Aurora vs. Crete

The Aurora Huskies will square off against the Crete Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Aurora and Kearney Catholic, and Kearney Catholic kept the tradition alive. The Huskies took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Crete fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Schuyler on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-2 to the Warriors.

Pascual Ramos Lopez and Kevin Alejo Aguilera scored both of Crete's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crete, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
