Basketball Recap: Suncoast Drops Season-High Score on Forest Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Suncoast). They really took it to the Forest Hill Falcons for the full four quarters, racking up an 86-17 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 31 points or more this season.

Suncoast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Philleah Bright led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. The match was Bright's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyanna Goss, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 boards.

Bright wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Suncoast was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Suncoast's third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Forest Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Suncoast is taking a road trip to face off against Palm Beach Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Forest Hill has already played their next contest, an 80-0 loss against Martin County on the 20th.
