Baseball Recap: Byrd Comes Up Short

Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the Haughton Buccaneers. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Buccaneers when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Haughton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While Byrd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
