Basketball Game Preview: Collinsville Pirates vs. Lindsay Knights

The Collinsville Pirates will face off against the Lindsay Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Collinsville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Lindsay will come in with five straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Collinsville lost to Slidell on the road by a 76-61 margin. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1445th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 439th).

Meanwhile, Lindsay hadn't done well against Muenster recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lindsay snuck past Muenster with a 43-38 victory.

Lindsay's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Collinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
