Volleyball Recap: Vandalia Christian Takes a Loss

Vandalia Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Liberty Christian Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Liberty Christian, they will challenge Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
