Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Explorers

The Cypress Bay Lightning will head out to challenge the Columbus Explorers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Bay will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Cypress Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Coral Gables 3-0.

Cypress Bay was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Columbus earned a 3-1 win over West Broward on Tuesday.

Columbus walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 25-15.

Columbus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. As for Cypress Bay, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Cypress Bay came up short against Columbus in their previous meeting back in March, falling 2-0. Can the Lightning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
