Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Pine Hill Warriors, falling 88-33. The Falcons lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 70-38 score last time.

Channing James was his usual excellent self, going 13 of 19 en route to 31 points for Pine Hill. That makes it six consecutive games in which James has scored at least a third of Pine Hill's points. Chance James was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 14 points.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pine Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9.

Northwest has already played their next game (against To'hajiilee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pine Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 98-44 victory against Tse' Yi' Gai on the 25th.
