Volleyball Game Preview: Valmeyer Pirates vs. Okawville Rockets

The Valmeyer Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Okawville Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Valmeyer will be strutting in after a victory while Okawville will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Valmeyer beat New Athens 2-0.

Valmeyer never let New Athens on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Okawville came up short against Red Bud on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Valmeyer's win ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-16-1. As for Okawville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
