Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Mustangs vs. Madison Mavericks

The Jefferson Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Madison Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jefferson can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They took a blow against Veterans Memorial, falling 77-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since November 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, after only 25 points in their last game, Madison made sure to put some points up on the board against Jay on Saturday. The Mavericks walked away with a 67-59 win over the Mustangs.

Jefferson was able to grind out a solid victory over Madison when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 63-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
