Volleyball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. La Joya Coyotes

The Warren Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the La Joya Coyotes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warren is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Warren is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 25, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Central Heights, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for La Joya, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Economedes on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Coyotes as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (113-109) La Joya actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 20-25, 27-25, 16-14.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for La Joya, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-14.
