Softball Game Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Lincoln Patriots

The Roosevelt Rough Riders are taking a road trip to take on the Lincoln Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roosevelt hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Roosevelt lost 18-1 to Washington on Tuesday.

Roosevelt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raelyn Sieler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Sieler has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln faced Jefferson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots fell 10-6 to the Cavaliers. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Roosevelt suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Lincoln in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rough Riders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
