Softball Recap: Washington Falls to Lowell in First Game of Season

Washington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Lowell Cardinals on Monday, falling 19-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

The victory (which was Lowell's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will challenge Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Washington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lowell, they will be playing at home against Burton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
