Basketball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 76-24 loss at the hands of the Cameron Comets. The game marked the Beavers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Raegan Beecroft and Macy Beecroft, who each put up seven points. Raegan also led the team in rebounds with six.

Cumberland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Cameron, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cumberland will welcome Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cameron, they will head out on the road to square off against Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cameron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
