Soccer Recap: Kirkwood Takes a Loss

Kirkwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 29, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Kirkwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Kirkwood will challenge Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kirkwood are facing Lafayette at the right time seeing as Lafayette are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they will be playing at home against Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
