Football Game Preview: Prestonwood Christian North vs. Ovilla Christian Eagles

Prestonwood Christian North are taking a road trip to take on the Ovilla Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Prestonwood Christian North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Ovilla Christian likes a good challenge.

Ovilla Christian's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Prestonwood Christian North hadn't allowed a single point the last four times they've hit the field. Prestonwood Christian North simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Fellowship Academy 48-0. Given Prestonwood Christian North's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Fellowship Academy is ranked 136th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Max Barth was his usual excellent self, rushing for 38 yards and one TD, while also picking up 64 receiving yards. Peyton McDonald was another key signal caller, throwing for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ovilla Christian). They blew past Victory Christian Academy 76-52 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Ovilla Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Prestonwood Christian North, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Prestonwood Christian North against Ovilla Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prestonwood Christian North since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
