Pine Bush has gone 9-1 against Middletown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bushmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Middie Bears at 4:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Pine Bush's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Middletown has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

While Pine Bush's win against Kingston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bushmen had just enough and edged out the Tigers 8-7. The Bushmen haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Middletown nor Newburgh Free Academy made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Middie Bears wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Pine Bush, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Pine Bush was able to grind out a solid victory over Middletown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 12-7. Do the Bushmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Middie Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
