Game recap: South Pointe High School Football Team defeats Clover

CLOVER, S.C. - South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 42-0 victory over Clover (S.C.) on Saturday.

The Stallions were up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Davonta Blake touchdown pass to PJ Heath in the first quarter.

South Pointe expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. SP's lone score in the quarter came on a Blake touchdown run.

The Rock Hill school's most effective player was Blake. He threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.



The Stallions went into the matchup giving up only 10.3 points per game. The zero points that the Blue Eagles ended with were below their average of 4.9 coming into the game.

Clover (0-9) will play a AAAA Region III game against Fort Mill next week, while South Pointe (9-0) will take on York also in a AAAA Region III game.
