With a playoff win on the line, Springfield rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Rochester Rockets with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering Springfield have won 17 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Rochester with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kamryn Hoffman (4), Madison Clark, and Zoe Wall.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Springfield, bringing their record up to 22-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those six matches. As for Rochester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record this season.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Mahomet-Seymour on the 27th. Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
