Recap: Muleshoe Mules vs. Shallowater Mustangs
The Muleshoe Mules lost against the Shallowater Mustangs back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Muleshoe was dealt a 80-41 defeat at the hands of Shallowater. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Muleshoe in their matchups with Shallowater: they've now lost seven in a row.
Muleshoe's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adam Alarcon, who scored 17 points. Alarcon scored a full 41.5% of Muleshoe's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Kirven, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Muleshoe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Shallowater, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Muleshoe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Borger at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st. Borger is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Shallowater is on the road again on Saturday and play against Bushland at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
