Mountain View was led to victory by Cole Tonniges and Dylan Garland. Tonniges on his way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Garland to rack up 20 points and three steals. What's more, Tonniges also posted an 89% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Jalen Sanchez was another key player, putting up five points.
Mountain View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Ponderosa, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.
Looking ahead, Mountain View will face off against Discovery Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Discovery Canyon likes a good challenge.
