Baseball Game Preview: West Cabarrus Wolverines vs. A.L. Brown Wonders

The West Cabarrus Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the A.L. Brown Wonders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Cabarrus came up short against Mooresville on Friday, falling 13-3. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cage Love was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Matthews, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, A.L. Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 13-2 to South Iredell. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wonders have suffered against the Vikings since April 18, 2023.

West Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for A.L. Brown, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

West Cabarrus came out on top in a nail-biter against A.L. Brown when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Wonders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
