Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Santaluces turned things around against Lake Worth Christian on Thursday. They never let the Defenders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Chiefs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Daniel Vargas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Raab, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Santaluces always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Worth Christian only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palm Beach Central). Everything went their way against Leonard on Thursday as Palm Beach Central made off with an 18-0 victory. With that win, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Palm Beach Central got a massive performance out of Andres Lopes, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that Lopes hit this season. Luis Sousa was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Palm Beach Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.67 hits in those games compared to only 5.4 in the others. The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-11.
