Softball Recap: South Anchorage Comes Up Short

South Anchorage and Chugiak squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but South Anchorage had to settle for second. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 12-3.

Adriana Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Catie Newall, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

South Anchorage's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Chugiak, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

As of now, neither South Anchorage nor Chugiak have any future games scheduled.
