Volleyball Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short

If Frontier was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Newton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Faith Christian Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-5, 25-13.

Summer Kremer paced Frontier's offense, picking up five kills. Kremer got some help from Annabelle Layton and her nine assists.

Faith Christian was led to victory by Kelsey Olehy and Anna Conley. Olehy had 19 assists and three digs, while Conley had three aces. Conley has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Frontier has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Faith Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Frontier will venture away from home to square off against DeMotte Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Western Boone on the 20th.
