Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Falls to Oneonta in First Game of Season

Chenango Valley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Oneonta Yellowjackets by a score of 4-3. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Chenango Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Trebilcock, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was DJ Steen, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Chenango Valley will challenge Chenango Forks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oneonta, they will take on Cobleskill-Richmondville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
