Softball Recap: Macomb Comes Up Short

Macomb lost against Sherrard back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bombers lost 9-3 to the Tigers. The Bombers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Macomb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendyl Danner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Nika Daytner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Macomb now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sherrard, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Macomb will host Augusta Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bombers are facing the Suns at the right time seeing as the Suns are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sherrard, they will head out to challenge Biggsville West Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Heat will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
