Chaminade and Burroughs are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Chaminade's last matchup with Alton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Red Devils came up short against the Redbirds, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Red Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chaminade got a good showing from Owen Plocher, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Plocher hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April.

At the plate, Chaminade saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Burroughs waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 12-1 victory. Considering the Bombers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Burroughs pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to 5-22.
