Softball Recap: Temple City Triumphs

While Temple City's victory against San Marino wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Titans on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 17-3 win on April 4th.

Temple City got a massive performance out of Melinda Lansford, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Lansford a new career-high. Mia Estrada also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Temple City moved to 8-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for San Marino, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Looking ahead, Temple City will venture away from home to take on South Pasadena at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. San Marino has already played their next game (against Mayfair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
