Groton-Dunstable waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Millbury Woolies as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Groton-Dunstable walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Bridget Houle paced Groton-Dunstable's offense, picking up 11 kills. Houle got some help from Ella Barske and her 19 assists. Houle also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alexa Gendron, each putting up four.

Alanie Nguyen and Lyla Alves certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Nguyen had 13 digs, while Alves had 12 digs.

Groton-Dunstable's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Millbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Groton-Dunstable does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
