Basketball Recap: East Lawrence Beats Elkmont for Their Eighth Straight Victory

East Lawrence hadn't done well against Elkmont recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The East Lawrence Eagles blew past the Elkmont Red Devils 61-38. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Elkmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mollie Slaton, who posted 11 points.
