Volleyball Recap: Merced Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Merced was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Los Banos on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Atwater Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Merced sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-8.

Merced's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Atwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season.

Merced will take on Ben Holt College Prep Academy in a tournament on Saturday. As for Atwater, they will be playing at home against El Capitan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
