Basketball Game Preview: Moorpark Musketeers vs. Camarillo Scorpions

Moorpark is 1-9 against Camarillo since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Moorpark Musketeers will look to defend their home court against the Camarillo Scorpions at 7:00 p.m.

Moorpark is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-49 loss to AGBU. While losing is never fun, the Musketeers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Titans are ranked 192nd).

Meanwhile, Camarillo came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 82-21 win over the Contenders. The Scorpions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 31 points or more this season.

Camarillo pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Moorpark, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
