Athens extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 11-0 in the process. They didn't even let the Northeast Bradford Panthers on the board, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Tuesday.

Not much got past Gretchan Hiley, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Northeast Bradford off the board. Hiley has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ella Coyle was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Danica May, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

As for Northeast Bradford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

On Northeast Bradford's side, Kelsea Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

Athens has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Troy on the 24th. As for Northeast Bradford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-7 victory against Williamson on the 24th.
