Veritas Prep skates past Red Rock with ease

The Veritas Prep Falcons stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Red Rock 75-34 on the road. Given Veritas Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Red Rock is ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Veritas Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Twist out in front who scored 16 points. Twist continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Casen Lentz, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Veritas Prep's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Red Rock, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Veritas Prep will look to defend their home court on Monday against Madison Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. Madison Highland Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three contests. As for Red Rock, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Phoenix Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. Phoenix Country Day will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
